When I tell people I got to stay at every Beaches resort in the world, it might sound like a bit of a stretch. But, when you really look it up it’s only because there are 3 in the world so it wasn’t too many that we had to check off. The Beaches resorts are located in Negril and Ocho Rios Jamaica, and then another one that is located in Turks and Caicos. What made these resorts so appealing to my parents when we were planning our trips was the fact that they were all-inclusive and based around families. The Beaches resorts were made after the company released the Sandals resorts, which are basically the same thing as Beaches with it being all-inclusive, but the difference is that these hotels are for adults-only so that means you have to be at least 18 years old to stay there. Now I’ve never stayed at a Sandals resort, but if they are as nice as Beaches, then I highly recommend. Since my sister and I were still relatively young on these trips we really got into some of the things they offered. They had free activities all day everyday and even fun little shows for us to watch at night. My family always made it a point to participate in everything they offered because well, why not? I think the only thing we did at the hotel that was not included during our stay was the hair braiding. We loved getting it done, and these places were the only times we would do it. Some of the activities located at these hotels were more for very little children since they have Sesame Street characters always walking around, but even as you get older it’s still something fun and it’s like meeting the characters at Disney, you know they are people in costumes, but you just interact and get the photos anyway. My family and I were also very involved with all of the water activities they have to offer such as kayaking, riding the banana boat, a glass bottom boat ride, and water biking in the ocean. For the pool area they always had a swim up pool bar just for the kids and my sister and I loved going up and ordering because we felt like adults doing it. We would walk around the resort all day like we owned the place with our nonalcoholic drinks and ice cream. Also, around the pool area were the events that were always happening such as going down the water slides, dance parties, and group pool games or workout classes. While staying at a Beaches resort not once will you ever complain that you have nothing to do because everywhere you look there is something else happening. Even when you are not around the pool or the ocean and you are just at random spots around the hotel property there are shuffle boards, pool tables, and even massive boards of chess to play. And as if the activities weren’t enough to convince you to stay they also have around 5 to 6 restaurants that are a part of the resort as well in the all-inclusive plan. So we tried almost a different restaurant every night we were there to see which was our favorite. Since it was all-inclusive they have little snack stands located around the resort as well for lunch food and snacks that people could get and bring to the pool area if they wanted to eat. Overall, these resorts have anything and everything you could ever imagine and we were never left bored or eating at the same place twice. It is an awesome experience for both kids and families. They even offer a kids clubs if you want during the day or at night incase the parents wanted to get dinner themselves. I would chose to stay at any of these hotels again one day since I know how much fun we all had while we were there and not once did the Beaches resort ever disappoint.
