Back in 2010 my family and I had the privilege of traveling to the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos. This was a very relaxing vacation surprisingly not filled with excursions. With this trip it really focused on my family and just the many different things we could do around the resort. We had the pleasure of staying at Beaches Turks and Caicos and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It is all-inclusive so it takes the stress away of worrying about how much money to bring with you for the bigger things. They have photographers walking around the resort at all times taking your photos in hopes that you’ll buy them at the end of your trip, but instead my family decided to book a time to take photos and dress up for the occasion. We ended up purchasing these photos and they still decorate one wall in our house to this day. For the professional photos it worked out perfectly because Courtney and I had matching dresses and we did it for a time that included the sunsetting in the background for the perfect lighting. During the rest of our time at the resort we had the time of our life since everything was all-inclusive. As a twelve and and nine year old we automatically thought everything was just free so we walked up and got/ate whatever we wanted the whole trip. I thought it was the greatest thing in the world and my diet probably consisted of virgin Strawberry Daiquiris, ice cream, and French fries for snacks everyday. The meals were a different story and I actually ate, but I loved having the freedom to basically get whatever I wanted at any point of the day without having to worry about paying. With the Beaches hotel they have constant activities for the family to participate in and we did just that by booking our spot for everything. We all wanted to join in on the party so we did the dance parties, swim challenges, and even their fashion show one night. I remember thinking I could take home whatever I wore in the show and that being the sole reason I participated in the event especially because it was in front of a crowd, but I was sadly mistaken once they took all the outfits I chose back once the show was finished. But, overall these trips allowed for my family to bond and have a good time relaxing together whether on the beach, in the pool, or participating in activities during the day and night. There was never a dull moment and everyday was something different even if we really didn’t “explore” the island as much as some of our other trips. The resort was massive and had many different parts to it so I wouldn’t be surprised if we even missed some parts of it. We tried to eat at all the different restaurants and all of the little bakeries hidden throughout, and by the end of each day we were all stuffed. This was yet another amazing vacation that I will not forget and would love to be able to do again some day. Although this island can be more on the pricier side compared to others the views, crystal clear ocean, and constant family activities speak for itself. During this trip the ocean was so nice that I even swam in it and enjoy myself and for anyone that knows me they know that I don’t ever just relax in the ocean for fun. This destination and hotel is great for families with children all the way up to their teens by having something happening for everyone to enjoy.

It was such a fun trip!!
